As others here have said, Linnette excels when you want things to go through quickly. I called her on a Thursday after seeing the place and we had an offer accepted by Friday evening. My only complaint would be that she was so damn efficient and on top of things I didn’t have any time to consider backing out :-). Linnette also gave great advice on what our offer should be – in this market you need someone who can help with that.
The previous outstanding reviews for Linnette are spot on. We found her on Yelp and once we met her in person, we didn’t look back. Linnette is among the best in the business. Not only does she understand the real estate market incredibly well, but she is patient, professional, fair, and reliable, not to mention simply a joy to work with. Perhaps most important: she loves what she does and it shows!
We worked with Linnette and Tammy to buy our first house (in Walnut Creek), and we could not be happier with their professionalism, deep knowledge of the nooks and crannies of the local market, and tenacity (but civility) in helping us obtain an absolutely outstanding deal on our house. At every step in the process, Linnette provided on-point advice, worked effectively with sellers’ agent, and managed the flock of inspectors and vendors with grace and poise. We will absolutely use Linnette when we sell our house (and if we buy in the East Bay again, when we buy our next house!).
I listed my house for sale in Lafayette with Linnette and couldn’t be happier with the results. We got 2 offers in 12 days – it was easily the most seamless real estate deal I’ve been part of. Linnette and her team handled everything for me, from working (and managing) my tenant (who was apprehensive of all the showings, etc…), to coordinating all of the handyman repairs the house needed, to arranging the landscaper to come give my home some curb appeal. All I had to do was literally sign the documents (all electronically) and write checks to pay for the maintenance. She knows the Lafayette real estate market very well – that’s why I listed with her. She priced the home at market and gave me her honest opinion on things (as opposed to what she thought I wanted to hear).
If there was another higher rating to give on Yelp for extraordinary service, caring and knowledge, Linnette Edwards and her team would get it! I returned to Linnette a few months ago when my husband and I decided to separate and sell our home– she was wonderful and made suggestions for us- ( a refresher on the interior paint, staging, and landscaping outside to spruce things up a bit) that turned out to bring us not only more money in the end, but made me wish we were new buyers looking at our home for the first time. She is nothing short of awesome!
Linnette Edwards is the epitome of the perfect agent. In the age of Redfin and Trulia and the glut of information available online, it’s hard to find an agent who really brings a lot of value to the housing search process. We had been using a different agent who didn’t specialize in the Oakland/Piedmont area, but when we started to focus our search, our friends recommended that we talk to Linnette. The contrast was immediately apparent.
I’ve bought and sold homes in three different states prior to coming to California, and the real estate market here was by far the toughest in terms of the competitive bid process and the amount of paperwork involved. Linnette navigated the process adeptly and made it seem easy (relatively speaking). And yesterday we closed, in an unbelievable just over 3 weeks.
I’m going to start off by saying this: I don’t give five star reviews lightly, let alone reviews this long. Because this is going to be so long, I’ll give a break down here: Linnette is extremely professional, Linnette is extremely clear and communicative, Linnette is a very hard worker, Linnette is very patient, Linnette is working with your best interest in mind.
This summer my husband and I worked with Linnette to stage, market and sell our home in Oakland. I would recommend Linnette to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the East Bay. She’s so easy to work with, incredibly knowledgeable in the market, knows everyone, has strong relationships and reputation with other brokers, and knows how to navigate through sticky and complex situations. Plus, she’s just fun to work with! Selling a home can be complicated and exhausting, and I would trust Linnette over anyone else to do it again. Thank you, Linnette and Abio for your amazing guidance and partnership. We could not have been happier.
I’m so grateful for having met Linnette Edwards and had the pleasure to have her as my real estate agent. She’s a powerhouse of knowledge, patient, flexible, and supportive which is exactly what I needed when I bought my 1st house from her. She spent considerable time understanding what I needed vs. wanted, answered dozens & dozens of questions with facts & advisement (as well as opinions when appropriate); and when it came down to finally finding my dream home, she went to bat for me to get a fair & good deal. Over the years in working with Linnette, I’ve grown to respect & appreciate her more than just my real estate agent, but as a friend. I trust her implicitly and can’t imagine working with anyone else.
Her team was fast, responsive and really understood the urgency that often comes with maneuvering to give her clients the best possible chance of landing the winning offer. She also has just a really skilled ability to help land competitive offers and help respect your set budget.
Her and her team are honest, straight to the point and aren’t interested in upsetting or overbidding when it isn’t necessary. That is huge.
Linnette and her amazing team recently helped us sell our Emeryville condo for a record-breaking price for the area. They are very professional while also being very warm and accommodating. Selling a home can be stressful, but Linnette’s consulting was invaluable, and her team made the whole process very easy and efficient. We were particularly impressed with their marketing – really top-notch, modern, and appealing to tech-savvy buyers. We got our own website, and the professional photos looked amazing.
We had already narrowed our search to the Lamorinda/Walnut Creek area. Linnette grew up the area, so she had great knowledge about exactly what neighborhoods we should target to match our budget, tastes, and needs. She frankly advised us on the pros and cons of each neighborhood and house we looked at, which was very helpful, since we weren’t as familiar with the area.
I came across Linnette on Yelp as a top rated realtor in the area. She promptly got back to me when I messaged her. She carefully explained to us the competitive market and what we needed to bring to the table to get a bid accepted. In the beginning, she spent a lot of time showing us houses just so we could get a feel for what was out there, and later showing us houses we were very interested in (sometimes several times). When she was not available, her partner Sarka filled in (and is also wonderful).
We were lucky to get Linnette to help us purchase our first home in Berkeley. The market was super competitive but she was very helpful and in not just showing homes but giving honest analysis and insight into the different neighborhoods. She very accurate estimates of what it would take to actually to get an offer accepted and the true resale value of the house. We also felt that she had our best interests in mind and wouldn’t let us overpay for a property that just wasn’t worth it.
10 weeks ago, I didn’t know Linnette but had just found out I needed to move within 120 days. I didn’t know Oakland and didn’t have any contacts… so I took to Yelp. After reading all the previous reviews, I called Linnette Edwards. I immediately connected with her. I found her to be personable, thoughtful, with a lot of information. She immediately gave me the highs and lows of what’s going on with the current market and some tips and tricks that would help me land a property. She clearly explained what she could help me. That helped me to know my role in this process.
